U.S. Agency Priority Goals - Performance FrameworkAgency Priority Goals (APGs) are a performance accountability structure of the GPRA Modernization Act that provides agencies a mechanism to focus leadership priorities, set outcomes, and measure results, bringing focus to mission areas where agencies need to drive significant progress and change. APG statements are outcome-oriented, ambitious, and measurable with specific targets set that reflect a near-term result or achievement agency leadership wants to accomplish within approximately 24 months. In some instances, agencies are also utilizing the APG structure to drive progress and monitor implementation of agency management reforms and priorities, a modification of the traditional APG statement format.Agency leaders from major Federal agencies select approximately four to five goals every two years, identify responsible officials for goal achievement, and review performance on a quarterly basis to identify barriers to progress and make changes to implementation strategies to achieve goal outcomes. APGs to be achieved throughout the course of Fiscal Years 2020-2021 have been established by major Federal agencies concurrent with the release of the President's FY 2021 Budget.Office of the President of the United States

When using co-creation, USAID teams work alongside partners, potential implementers, and end users to collaboratively define the problem, identify new and existing solutions, build consensus around areas for action, and/ or refine plans to move forward with programs and projects. As its name implies, co-creation relies on collaboration with a diverse set of actors from both the for profit and not-for profit sectors, allowing for a more equitable distribution of both the responsibility and ownership of outputs across all partners. Co-creation can be used for any type of award based on the guidance in USAID’s ADS 304: Selecting the Appropriate Acquisition and Assistance (A&A) Instrument; USAID does not want to constrain the use of co-creation in awards, but demonstrate the co-creation is suited to many types of A&A instruments.United States Agency for International Development[To be named]Mark WaltherDirector, M/OAA, USAIDGoal LeaderRandy TiftSenior Advisor, Office of Acquisition and Assistance, Bureau for Management (M/OAA), U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)Goal LeaderPartnering & Co-CreationIncrease the use of collaborative partnering methods and co-creation.Objective_d3c82388-e491-4216-a7f5-e75a744725a71[To be named]Maternal & Child HealthAdvance the global effort to prevent child and maternal deaths.Goal_8219e4d1-bd4c-418f-8f6d-d34c276b96cd49.United States Agency for International DevelopmentIrene KoekActing Assistant Administrator, Bureau for Global Health, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)Goal Leader[To be named]Child MortalityReduce under-five mortality.Objective_b96eecc6-1d22-4081-a7a4-39cc4608ad071The 25 U.S Government maternal and child health priority countries are: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Senegal, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Yemen, and Zambia[To be named]Private-Sector EngagementExpand engagement with the private sector to achieve greater development outcomes.Goal_598f0607-2492-4333-8c65-b805f4c42d2c50United States Agency for International DevelopmentKarl FickenscherGoal LeaderDeputy Assistant Administrator Bureau for Economic Growth, Education, and Environment[To be named]Country-Specific ApproachesIntegrates country-specific private-sector engagement approaches into programming and operations.Objective_7bfd4c2f-54e5-4d91-a3ba-ed9050a57f1f1[To be named]Resilience & Food SecurityIncrease long-term resilience and food security to reduce hunger and the need for emergency humanitarian assistance.Goal_4e439d2d-481c-4e77-bca8-22b3f3fa61f051United States Agency for International Development Maura BarrySenior Deputy Assistant to the Administrator, Bureau for Food Security, USAIDGoal LeaderBeth DunfordGoal LeaderAssistant to the Administrator, Bureau for Food Security, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)[To be named]Poverty & StuntingReduce poverty and stunting.Objective_3eabd584-d767-485e-ac87-4ba1aca3c5441[To be named]HIV/AIDSAchieve control of the HIV epidemic in focus countries.Goal_bbaadacb-61f1-423e-9dcb-10be6f188a4652U.S. Agency for International DevelopmentDepartment of StateIrene KoekGoal Leader[To be named]Deborah L.
