Our analysis of thousands of PESTLE entries as of 23 October 2026 shows the split of insights added per category.

Observations

  • The split of insights is much more even than that shown by our similar analysis of Porter's Five Forces categories.
  • Is the weighting towards Economic factors indicative of the current economic cycle, or will it persist across cycles?
  • Does the underweighting of Environmental factors suggest that at least some of the PR around environmental factors is just lip service?
