Chatting with #stratBot
You can chat with #stratBot about your strategy.
You can ask it questions about your strategy, about how to use StratNav, and about how to use the tool to develop and execute your strategy further. When asking it questions, you can also ask it to search the internet when it needs to.
Asking #stratBot to do things for you
You can also ask it to do things for you, such as:
-
Create an insight, goal, initiative or action: Creates a new strategic insight, goal, initiative or action with a title and description drawn from the chat. When appropriate, it links the insight to the item on the current page and describes that relationship.
-
Merge insights: Combines two existing strategic insights into one, retaining the first insight as the resulting record.
-
Add note: Posts a note drawn from the chat to the strategy item on the current page when that page supports notes and the user has permission to comment.
Starting a conversation
If the chat interface is not already open on the screen, you can open it by clicking the AI icon on the bottom right of your screen and selecting "Ask me anything."
At the bottom of every conversation, you will also see an option to start a New Chat. Starting a new chat allows you to start a new line of inquiry without the context from your previous line of inquiry clouding or influencing it.
An example
- Click on the #stratBot icon at the bottom right of the screen and ask it a question.
For example, you could be sitting on the screen for a target customer segment called "young adults", and ask something like: "We’re considering targeting younger customers, but I’m not convinced they actually want to buy this kind of product directly from us rather than through an adviser. What should we think about?" - In its answer, #stratBot may suggest several considerations including something like: "Younger customers may be digitally confident but still prefer advice for complex financial decisions, which could limit the attractiveness of a purely direct-to-consumer growth strategy."
- You could then ask #stratBot to "Create an insight based on that". #stratBot would create a new Insight with a Title and Description drawn from the preceding conversation, categorise it on the SWOT, PESTEL, McKinsey 7-S and Porter's 5 Forces analyses as appropriate, and then link it to that target customer segment. Once it has done so, it will respond with a link to that newly created Insight.
- You could then click on the newly created Insight and enter "Remind me to schedule interviews with 15 of our existing young adult customers". #stratBot will create a reminder task, assign it to you and link it to the Insight, ready for you to capture the outcome from that action once it is done.
